Unity and The Gospel

Mar 5, 2023    Cary Jester

As we continue in our study through the book of Acts, this week Cary Jester guides us through Acts 6:1-7. From the text we see the Apostles prioritizing and devoting themselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word. While serving tables is important, the preaching of the Word of God must be kept central. Cary encourages us that the evidences of the gospel, or the good deeds that flow from the gospel are not the gospel. We cannot confuse the gospel with the results of the gospel. We should not confused the announcement of what Christ has done for us in his life, death, resurrection, and ascension with the fruits and evidences of the gospel. From the text, we are invited to use our gifts to serve and build up the community of Jesus.
