The Gospel In Our Stories

Oct 15, 2023    Peter Jovanovich

This week as we continue in our study through the book of Acts, we come to the story of Paul's defense before King Agrippa and his account of his conversion and commission. Paul was appointed to be a servant and witness of the gospel. Through the gospel Paul was called to, "open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me" (Acts 26:18). Peter encourages us that like Paul, we can share the gospel through our stories. From the text we see that:

1. We can share the gospel in all of life.

2. Our stories are a powerful way to share the gospel.

3. The works we do for Jesus act as a proof of the life changing work the gospel has done in our hearts and lives.

If we have decided to follow Jesus, we have been called and commissioned to share the gospel in and through our stories. The gospel changes everything and we want to live in light of that.
