Rise Program

Are you a survivor of abuse or trauma? You are not alone.

We partner with Lighthouse Northwest to help and serve women and children who have experienced abuse and trauma. Rise is a trauma-informed approach to healing and building a thriving life and healthy relationships. Women of all ages participate in Rise. Healing is a life-long journey.

During our monthly support group, we explore topics that address the impact of abuse and trauma and the healing process. Topics include - identifying patterns of abuse, safety, God's design for healthy relationships, communication, emotional health, self-care, identity, trust, and more.

Whether you experienced abuse recently or decades ago, we invite you to join other women at Rise.

Recognizing and Responding to Domestic Abuse

1 in 3 women experience domestic abuse regardless of socio-economic status, education, religion, race or ethnicity. That means 1 in 3 women in your neighborhood, workplace, and church. 10 million children witness some form of domestic abuse annually. Domestic abuse is the third leading cause of homelessness. Only 1% of those experiencing domestic abuse reach out to professional organizations. 99% reach out to friends, family members, and churches.

Lighthouse's heart and mission is to change these statistics and break the cycle of abuse one relationship at a time. During this workshop, you will learn about the realities of domestic abuse, God's perspective, and how to identify and respond in safe and effective ways.
