The Love of God

This morning we'll be exploring the fourth theme symbolized in the Advent Candle Wreath, which is love. Pastor Daniel teaches from Zephaniah 3:14-20, considering the love of God and what God's people are to do in light of His promise of redemption and renewal. Through the prophet Zephaniah, God calls His people to:

1) Sing aloud and shout

2) Rejoice and exult with all your heart

3) Do not be afraid, let not our hands grow weak

God promises the following to His people:

He promises to take away the judgements, clear away the enemies, come as the promise King to save, gather those who mourn, deal with the oppressors, save the lame, gather the outcast, change shame into rejoicing, bring the peoples in and gather them together where He will rejoice over them, delight in them, and exult in loud singing. This promise is good news that calls forth responses of praise, rejoicing, and singing.
